Bleeding hemorrhoids?

I just came from the doctor a day ago, following all the instructions to the letter, but the bleeding just wont stop, and it isn't bleeding after every bowel movement, nor does it show up in the toilet. It seems to be just a little and it covers my anal area when I pat it down. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this? Will the bleeding eventually stop? It's been about a day since the bleeding started. Granted it's just a few little blood spots, but it's bothersome you know. Thanks.
