Need some help with hemorrhoids?

ok the other night i pushed too hard on the toilet then the next day i check and i have an external hemorrhoid the size of a bean. whats the fastest way to make it go away(without going to the store for hemorrhoid cream)? should i push it in? how long do they normally take to go away?
