Pin worms or hemorrhoid's?

My stepson had pinworms once, so I know a little about them. They are very small and look like threads. You may not see them in the toilet. I called the doctor when he had them and they don't have any kind of test for them. Our whole family was prescribed 2 doses of a pill. I was worried about my daughter who was 1 at the time. I don't think any of us actually caught them from my stepson, but I made everyone take the pills for peace of mind.

I had heard you can put a piece of clear tape over your bum at night. The itching is caused by them popping out to lay eggs. When they come out they will stick to the tape. Take a look at it in the morning and see if there is anything on it.

I used to work for CVS and there is an over the counter med called Pin-X. It's a liquid that you drink that will kill them.

I had pinworms a while ago, really gross! But all you have to do is take 2 pills for it if that is what you do have. :) With pinworms, you usually feel the itching sensation at night and you would probably notice them in your stool at that time too. They are very small, white, and look like threads. Until you are sure it's not pinworms, I would wash your hands a lot more than usual, disinfect things like toilet handles, doorknobs, faucets, etc. When you get the chance, call the doctor and explain your symptoms.
