What in the world is going on?

This is very personal, but I need to ask the question. I had a colonoscopy done back on the 1st of February. It came back normal except for internal/external hemorrhoids that were found, and have been there for the past year. I have never had bleeding and rarely had pain caused by the 2. It was more discomfort then anything. Well today I had a bowel movement and on the toilet paper was a large amount of blood and a large clot. "TMI I apologize" I didn't have any pain with the bowel movement so I started to get a little worried. When I went to flush not only was the blood/clot on the paper but there was enough in the toilet it had turned the water red. Now I am more then a little freaked out. What in the world could this be? My colonoscopy was normal in every stage of the exam so it's not cancer. Could the hemorrhoid be causing all the bleeding? With out all the pain?

Answers:

I would contact the dr that did the procedure. Tell him or her what is going on.

Hemorroids can cause the bleeding but so can a fissure. This is a cut or tear. Look this up on Yahoo health. Also, with no pain. Now I need to ask if the BM was hard. If so this could have caused the tearing. If not, did you press hard? In either case, I would mention it to the dr. He will probably say to just keep an eye on it and to take a stool softener. Try eating 5 or 6 prunes every day for a while. It's nothing real serious or it would have shown up on the scope. If this is from a fissure, it might happen again.
