Hemorrhoid Treatment Options: Hemorrhoidolysis

There are numerous treatments for hemorrhoids from at home techniques to surgical techniques. A removal technique for internal hemorrhoids is hemorrhoidolysis, which is an electrotherapy that ultimately permanently shrinks the hemorrhoid.

There are many types of treatments for hemorrhoids, including home remedies, medications, ointments, and non-surgical treatments. If medical treatment is necessary, you can undergo a rubber band ligation, in which the hemorrhoid is tied off at its base with rubber bands. The probe may cause minimal discomfort, but this usually can be controlled by the physician performing the procedure.

This is a non-invasive procedure performed in the doctor’s office without anesthesia or patient preparation. The procedure is performed in about 10 minutes and the patient is able to leave the doctor’s office and proceed with normal daily activities with no bleeding, no complications and no pain.

In using this technique, more than one hemorrhoid site may be treated at each visit with the actual treatment lasting only a few minutes. With the average hemorrhoid case, it will require 3 treatments for symptomatic resolution. If the individual has more than one hemorrhoid, a lengthy treatment may be required.

Hemorrhoidolysis is most effective in curing internal hemorrhoids. This is an effective, safe and painless outpatient procedure. This procedure is based on traditional electrotherapy, which is used for many conditions, including for the relaxation of muscle spasms, prevention and retardation of disuse atrophy, increase of local blood circulation, muscle rehabilitation and re-education and many others.

This procedure is preferred by many physicians and patients, as it creates a natural chemical release. There is virtually no pain, no bleeding, no downtime and no complications. Unlike other treatments, this procedure allows the patient to have an outpatient appointment. The patient may return to regular activities almost immediately. The surgical options for removal of hemorrhoids are evasive, include recovery times and possible side effects.
